MobileTrak: the Perfect Solution for Bulk Inventory.

March 19, 2021

When faced with moving the company’s bulk inventory storage to a much smaller area in Doral, Florida, Carisam Ltd. had to find a way to maximize the available space.

The original plan was to outfit the new facility with pallet racks to accommodate the inventory of various-sized boxes, many storing glass bottles. While the shelving worked, the company quickly recognized the need for more space.

A customized high-density system from Datum was the perfect solution.
Utilizing the pallet racks already purchased, Datum designed a MobileTrak system to increase the space’s storage capacity. Special carriages were engineered to hold the shelves’ weight and provide the width needed between the aisles for transport carts.

In the end, the high-density system created 70% more capacity in the same footprint as the previous stationary pallet rack set up, giving Carisam Ltd. the efficient, customized storage needed to maximize productivity.
